Wincantons Premier Outdoor Recreational Facility
Wincanton Sports Ground occupies approximately 40 acres of land situated on the outskirts of Wincanton. It is within easy reach of the Town's amenities and the A303 and it's only a few miles from several main line railway stations.
The site is split by natural hedgerow, retained to enhance the atmosphere and to encourage wildlife. Running alongside many hedges are small ditches and streams some of which lead to a small pond, home to families of ducks and the occasional visit from a heron. Overhead Buzzards are frequently seen and on occasions visitors have been fortunate enough to catch a glimps of barn owls.
Directions
Approaching from the East, either turn left down Common Road and follow to the end, then turn right onto Moor Lane, or proceed through town following the one way system down South Street, and after passing the Primary School on the right, turn left into Moor Lane.
Approaching from the West, head into town past Morrisons and the Fire Station along Southgate Road and at the start of the one way system turn right into Moor Lane.
