Wincantons Bowls Green

The six-rink bowling green was constructed in 2001 at a cost of over £50,000 and was professionally laid and turfed in September of that year. It conforms to International Standards and is located adjacent to the Maddocks Pavilion, easily accessed from the Sports Ground car park.

Home to Wincanton and District Bowls Club, the green is lovingly cared for by members of the club and provides a beautiful backdrop from within the pavillion.

A superb facility the residents of Wincanton and the surrounding villages can, and should be rightly proud of.

History

Prior to the establishment of this superb facility, Wincanton Bowls Club played on land near to the Wincanton Memorial Hall.
