Wincanton Town Youth Football
Want to be the next Joe Cole or David Beckham? If you are aged between 7 and 11 and want to play football then come along and join Wincanton Town Youth Football. We have been running for 10 seasons now and have 10 squads (4 mixed, 4 boys only, 2 girls only) U6 - U16 and a Total membership of approx 200. We have regular events at Christmas and end of season presentations.
There are penalty competitions as well as organised 5-a-side games. Even if you just want to come along and train that will be fine. The U9’s and U8’s train on a Saturday morning between 10.30am and 12.00pm and the U1O’s train mid-week and play 7-a-side league games in the Yeovil and Somerset league.
We now have the use of the excellent facilities offered at both the Wincanton Sports Centre for Winter Training & Wincanton Sports Ground, Moor Lane. Training nights are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The training is fun and based on you gaining confidence playing football and simply enjoying it!
You can join mid-way through the season, once you are 7— there are no signing on fees for the U8’s or U9's - just pay £1.00 per week as and when you turn up. Why not give it a go, you will enjoy it, honest!
The club is affiliated to Somerset FA and also have the Charter Standard for Community Clubs award .
We support the FA Respect campaign

We support FA Respect, the national campaign that aims to tackle the mass drop-out of referees from football due to abuse. Thousands of referees dropped out of the game last season leading to the number of match officials hitting its lowest ever level.
Respect is the collective responsibility of everyone involved in football, at all levels, to create a fair, safe and enjoyable environment in which the game can take place. It is the behavioural code for football.
